In the works from the Broken Glass series, I abandon the classical technique in favor of drawing destruction. I prepare a shiny, smooth, mirrored surface on the substrate, which I then crumple, giving vent to anger. One of its most important sources for me remains the „world” information I feed on via smartphone – the shape of the flattened rectangle imitates its shape. Cracked glass, black screen – a small tragedy, but maybe bigger peace of mind too?

Contrasts are what seems interesting: material/immaterial, reality/imitation, real/virtual.

W pracach z cyklu Broken glass rezygnuję z klasycznego warsztatu na rzecz rysunkowej destrukcji. Przygotowuję na podłożu błyszczącą, gładką, lustrzaną powierzchnię, którą następnie zagniatam, dając upust złości. Jednym z istotniejszych jej źródeł pozostają dla mnie informacje „ze świata”, którymi karmię się za pośrednictwem smartfona – forma wyoblonego prostokąta imituje jego kształt. Pęknięta szybka, czarny ekran – mała tragedia, ale może również większy spokój?

Interesują mnie kontrasty: materialne/niematerialne, rzeczywistość/imitacja, realne/wirtualne.
