In the early 1920s, a man with a certain „condition” drew the attention of Russian psychologist Alexander R. Luria. This man had such an amazing memory that at the end of his life he could remember every minute of it with the smallest details, and he was also a synesthete. The summary of over thirty years of research on the memory of the man known in scientific literature as the „Sz” case is Luria’s book The Mind of a Mnemonist.

This position became the direct inspiration for my book. I tell the story through pictograms, providing the recipient with a kind of riddle and imagining what the „thought-visual” memorization method of „Sz” might look like translated into the language of images.

We wczesnych latach dwudziestych człowiek z pewną „przypadłością” zwrócił na siebie uwagę rosyjskiego psychologa Aleksandra R. Łurii. Mężczyzna ten posiadał pamięć tak niesamowitą, że pod koniec życia mógł przypomnieć sobie jego każdą minutę z najdrobniejszymi szczegółami, na dodatek był również synestetą. Podsumowanie ponad trzydziestu lat badań nad pamięcią mężczyzny znanego w literaturze naukowej jako przypadek „Sz” stanowi książka Łurii O pamięci, która nie miała granic.

Pozycja ta stała się bezpośrednią inspiracją do powstania mojej książki. Historię opowiadam za pomocą piktogramów, fundując odbiorcy rodzaj zagadki oraz wyobrażając sobie jak przełożona na język obrazu mogłaby wyglądać „myślowo-wzrokowa” metoda zapamiętywania „Sz”.
